Black Mountain Fire (UPDATED)
The Black Mountain Fire which started at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 26th, 2018 on SR-130 mile marker 34.5 was started as a result of an auto accident. The fire resulted in the highway being closed for about 16 and a half hours.
The latest update from Utah Wildfire Info:
- 7:00 a.m. on July 1st, 2018 states that the fire was 90% contained and had consumed 5,988 acres at that time.
- 5:00 p.m. on July 3rd, 2018 states that the fire was 98% contained and had consumed 5,988 acres at that time and that firefighters were still onscene to work final hot spots.
