As many of you already know, last night was 'Movie in the Park' sponsored by the Beaver County Prevention Coalition.

Many families attended joining in on the fun including Captain Cody Black and Deputy Tyler Schena. They helped in giving out coloring books, crayons and other items to the children there.

 
Fawn Found in Dumpster

One of our fine citizens of Beaver County contacted the Sheriff's Department after finding this fawn in a trash bag that had been tossed into a dumpster.

A fire East of Beaver

There is a fire that has been reported East of Beaver. The U.S. Forect Service (USFS) is on scene now.

Remember, this is the start of fire season. Please be extra careful with open flames, sparks, and other sources of ignition. The high amount of precipitation we have had this year has weeds and grasses growing taller and thicker than usual, but as they start to dry out they become great fire fuel.

 
Caution - Phone Scam

New scam going around. Fake calls from scammers saying they are the Social Security Administration.

Remember, no government agency or reputable company will call or email you unexpectedly and request your personal information, or request advance fees for services in the form of wire transfers or gift cards.

 
National Take Back Day Poster

Don't let your medications fall into the wrong hands!

Take part in the DEA's National Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27th. Bring your unwanted, unused, or expired prescription medications and dispose of them safely. An official prescription medication drop box has been placed at the front entrance of the Beaver County Public Safety Facility and at Beaver County Sheriff's Office Milford Sub-Station.

Rabies Vaccination Clinic

Come on down to the Beaver County Fairgrounds this Saturday and get your pets vaccinated. Dr. John Anderson of Central Utah Animal Hospital in partnership with Beaver County Animal Control is holding a Rabies Vaccination Clinic from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 9th.

 
Dog License Audit

Animal Control is performing an audit of all dog licenses. If you get a letter, it means the audit process discovered either incorrect data or the need to update rabies vaccination and/or license information.

 
Murder Suspect Arrested

Lee F. Wilson was arrested by Deputies and SWAT from Beaver County Sheriff’s office, UHP and Iron County. Officers have been working closely the past week with the FBI and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in locating Lee Frank Wilson, who was wanted for MURDER out of Clark County Nevada.

Beaver County Dog Licenses are available now! Thursday, February 14th, 2019 is the last day to register your dogs before you receive a late fee.

Friday, February 15th, 2019 LATE FEE'S ARE APPLIED TO EACH DOG. That fee is $20 per dog.
